Students can interact with their Unit Coordinator and assigned tutors through email and discussion boards. For some units, there are scheduled 'live' Blacboard Collaborate sessions which allow real-time interactions.
Peer collaboration is strongly encouraged in the online learning environment.
Students will have opportunities to interact with other students through discussion boards, virtual classroom sessions, emails or social media. Specific group work activities may require students to use collaborative online tools. Studying online is not studying alone.
New students can join the New to Curtin Facebook page. Some courses/units may also have a specific social media account set up for student interactions.
The Support for online students website provides information on the tools and support available.
