What is StepUp to Curtin?

StepUp to Curtin is an alternative entry pathway that may assist students in gaining entry into selected courses. This pathway has two access schemes, StepUp Entry and StepUp Equity Adjustment.

StepUp Entry applies to applicants who have achieved a 60.00 - 69.95 ATAR and have met all criteria including English competency and any relevant prerequisite subjects. The selection rank of eligible applicants will be adjusted to a 70.00 ATAR. These students will be considered for admission into courses with a 70.00 ATAR.

StepUp Equity Adjustment applies to applicants who have achieved a 70.00 ATAR or above and have met all criteria including English competency. Eligible applicants will be granted an equity adjustment factor of 5 additional ATAR points and be considered for admission into courses they may otherwise have missed out on; the equity adjustment factor is capped at an ATAR of 99.95.

Applicants will automatically be assessed for StepUp to Curtin and notified of their eligibility on their University Admissions Advice Letter (UAAL).

Applications for StepUp to Curtin based on financial hardship will not be automatically assessed, you will need to lodge an application via to StepUp to Curtin website.
