Do I have to lodge a new application if my first preference was unsuccessful?

When you apply to Curtin University you have an option to apply for two courses in one application (1st and 2nd preference) and the priority is to process the 1st preference. If you are successful in getting a place for your first preference you will be issued a Letter of Offer. When you are unsuccessful in your 1st preference, Curtin will automatically process your 2nd preference course.
If you apply for one course only (1st Preference) in the application and are unsuccessful, you will be informed of your status. If you then decide to re-apply for a different course you will need to submit a new application.
