I have been impacted by the bushfires, what support can I access? 

The University is committed to providing support and assistance to students who have been impacted by the bushfires.  We acknowledge that the challenges that members of our university community are facing may not be short term, and these supports are available for as long as you need them.

Academic Support
As a student you have the right to request an assessment extension on all pieces of academic work. Students seeking assistance should contact Curtin Connect on 1300 222 888 or by submitting an enquiry online. If you don’t have access to laptops, resource materials, phones or email as a result of emergency evacuation on or around the due date of your assessment, or they have been lost in the fires, please let us know as soon as you are able and we will assess your application accordingly.

Personal Support
Curtin’s counselling service is available to support and assist you through your course. The service is available to all our students regardless of location and is free of charge. Please visit Curtin’s Health and Counselling Services website or call 08 9266 7850 - we are here to help.

Financial Support
Students who are unable to pay their fees by the due date as a result of the fires and subsequent impact upon their communities are able to apply for a payment extension or instalment plan for the payment of their fees.

Financial assistance has been established for students and applicants whose ability to undertake study has been impacted by the bushfires. Please contact Curtin Connect to discuss options on 1300 222 888.
