The John Curtin Scholarship Program (JCSP) is for academically gifted students who display John Curtin's qualities of vision, leadership and community service. Students selected as John Curtin Scholars have excelled in a wide range of endeavours, and have lent their talents and energies to the community around them.
Scholarships within the Program:
- John Curtin Undergraduate Scholarship
- Julia Gillard Women in Leadership Scholarship
These scholarships cover the cost of undergraduate education at Curtin University and provide an annual stipend of $2,000 per year, plus a one off payment of $6,000 for an approved international experience.
Scholars will be paired with a current JCSP mentor throughout their degree.
To be eligible to apply, you need to be either a:
- Current Year 12 student who is certified by your Principal to be in the top five per cent of your high school graduating year. You are able to demonstrate leadership qualities and engagement in community service; or,
- Non school leaver who has not previously undertaken a university degree, be nominated by an appropriate educator (who can verify your academic excellence), who can demonstrate leadership qualities and engagement in community service.
