Answer

What is the Student Guild?

The Curtin Student Guild plays a vital role in representing the interests of students and providing educational, welfare and social services to it's members. The Guild represents students on all major boards and committees and has an active voice in the University's decision-making process. Students upon enrolment automatically become members of the Curtin Student Guild. With the distribution to the Guild of half the Student Services and Amenities Fee from the University, the Guild will be waiving the premium membership fee (RRP $90) allowing the Guild to provide more services to all students.

Curtin students will have access to the following Guild services:

  • Student representation
  • Legal assistance
  • Clubs and societies
  • Guild diary
  • Discounts (on and off campus)
  • Parties and events
  • Volunteering opportunities
  • Orientation Day
  • Pasar Malam and Multicultural Week
  • Post graduate mentoring
  • Guild recreation
  • Student accident and work experience insurance
  • Market days

To get the full benefits of Guild membership students have to activate their memberships through Guild Reception, stalls or website and collect their membership sticker and student diary.
