What is HECS-HELP?

HECS-HELP is a loan available to eligible students enrolled in a Commonwealth supported place, to assist them in paying their student contribution amounts.

To be eligible for HECS-HELP you must submit your eCAF prior to the due date of your study period and:

  • Be enrolled in a Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
  • Meet the citizen and residency requirements (and specific requirements for New Zealand Special Category Visa holders)
  • Submit a HECS-HELP eCAF via OASIS before the due date of the relevant study period and provide your tax file number or Certificate of Application for a tax file number.
